New owner intro
I ordered a bunch of fluids. Will be doing new oil, transmission fluid, gear oil (all AMSOIL) and brake fluid (Motul RBF 600). I also ordered some stainless steel brake lines I will swap on. It needs tires, and I am going back and forth on what to do there. Leaning towards picking up two more rear wheels and doing a square setup with 285/35r18 michelin ps4s. If not that, probably some continental 275/295 on the stock 17/18 wheels. Plans are to leave it largely stock. I find it to be a very fun car in stock form. I like driving cars that feel fresh, so I am inclined to refresh the suspension bushings, shocks, etc. Once I get it up in the air for the fluids, I will check over the bushings, endlinks, etc. I am getting a clunking sound at lower speeds over bumps.
The shift boot squeaks a bit when in gears 1, 3 and 5. When I pull the boot up to the shift ****, it goes away. So might buy a new ****, boot and boot retainer of some kind. Also. there is an annoying rattle/buzz coming from the center console area. Not the best video, but here it is. If anyone has any ideas, they are greatly appreciated. Video:
Thanks guys, look forward to learning more about this great car.

You will find a lot of nitpickers here - but its all in good fun.

Enjoyed reading about your other rides - interesting "progression." My '00 Pewter FRC similar to yours. Eventually you'll get onto other things like seat swaps and lighting upgrades - but sounds like you are getting the important items first
