At the very least - especially since you're in Chicago, wait until Spring before even attempting to sell. I was looking for my C5 around this time last year and prices definitely crept up as it got warmer.

There is a guy in the wanted section looking for a very similar spec and milage. Around the price most suggested you could get. I attached the link to this thread to his. Would be cool if that worked out for both of us. Unsure of location.

I bought mine September of last year and paid 17,750 for it. New tires and clutch and a few other repairs so about 3 grand that I won't have to pay out in the next few years. Body is a 10 interior is almost perfect wheels have a couple of rock chips but no curb rash and paint has a few scratches if you look closely and the top is very nice 38 thousand miles. None of the nice upgrades you have but I feel I paid a fair price given the area, higher mileage and older non anniversary cars are going for 12 to 15 in the PNW. Not a lot to choose from in my area.
I would think 20 to 21 is a good place to start they had mine at 19,900 .
That is definitely not a $12K car IMO. I would ask $19-20K for the car and be willing to accept around $17-18K.
Your car is beautiful and has tasteful upgrades. I would start on the high side, maybe $21K but like Jack said, be ready to accept $18K. I'd list it soon, the weekend in Chicago will have nice weather so Spring fever might hit some buyers. Best wishes
I would guess this actually sells around $17-18K. Start with $20K.
Just over a year ago I purchased a 2002 Yellow Manual Coupe with 65K miles that had similar tasteful mods for $13,500. I started there and added value for lower miles and anniversary year.
I would say it's 15 to 18k. The color combo is love it or hate it, and tbh I think most guys wanting one will want auto and no mods. That said, it looks to be in great shape and has pretty low miles.

I would probably ask 18500 and see where it goes.
What did you get offered as trade?
I think I’ll try private first. I’m thinking dealers will fleece me.
Looks like you’ve gotten a lot of input. Now please report back for what it sells for!!!!
also, just fyi kbb is 13-15. So like I said, it should sell for 12.
I definitely will. She’s gonna be in World of Wheels next week in Chicago. Always a good time with my brother and friends showing and looking at a lot of great cars.
And you think people won't? The responses to your thread should have you convinced of the opposite lol.
lol. Yeah. I guess it’s about finding the right buyer that appreciates the mods that they won’t have to do. Of course this would never appeal to someone that wants totally stock. Thankfully there is no rush on my end to sell. I haven’t bought the C7 so I’m not in any situation where I have to sell my C5.
I guess in my head I feel that a dealer would want to get the most for their car and give me the least for my car. Even though with the right price and a decent trade in number, the dealer sometimes ends up being more convenient.
This thread stands as a testament to why I think CF is a great place to buy a car... but not so much for selling a car. For whatever the reason, it's a tough crowd.

I do not disagree. I think it is a pocketbook issue. The car fits in the relative price range of a number of people with a number of different motivations. It can be an entry point vehicle that fits into those with a limited amount of disposable money dedicated to a "toy". A perfectly understandable and large group.
On the other end of the spectrum you have folks who can spend whatever they wish and make the purchase because they desire the C5. A number of owners could easily afford later model versions and often do in addition to their C5. They want the best example of the particular C5 model they desire and are willing to pay a premium to get it.

I opt to think the dealer will bend you over more so than selling outright to a buyer. Why would anyone sell outright if they didn't get more $ that way???
Also, put it up for sale in the C5 for sale forum. It's free to do and a lot of people will check her out. I purchased two Corvettes that I found on the Forum's C5s for sale.
