I have not read of an ATI failure yet. Maybe take a vid of it and post it here? Did they use a stock bolt or ARP on this?
ARP bolt
Spoke with the last two owners and it was on there when they bought it so it’s been at least 30k miles since install.
Video barely shows wobble but trust me, it’s very noticeable in person.
Sorry for the short clip. Any larger of a file and it won’t attach. You get the idea.
It's hard to tell by the vid, and I am sure you are concerned. I see at least a 1/2 inch space between the balancer & the rack and the belt seems to be lined up with the wear mark in the tensioner.
If you are saying and seeing a bad wobble, the only thing you can do is replace it. You will be removing the rack and you want to get it right. You have to remove the rack just to check the torgue on this @ 245 ft lbs

Yup it all lines up perfectly. There is a gap, but it looks necessary. I took the belts off to see if I can move the pulley at all but it’s totally solid, so at the very least, it’s not coming apart right now. I compared it to my c6 to confirm the wobble is certainly not present on there.
Maybe I’ll hold off messing with this anymore for now as it doesn’t seem to be causing any issues.
My factory balancer was wobbling, so I'm replacing my harmonic balancer today. I choose a Fluidampr.
Not a fan of old school rubber bond between two chunks of metal.
I like that Fluidampr provides a different way to solve the problem and that the outer case is all one piece.
I have a 2006, Z51, with 6 speed automatic.
