What are your goals/what kind of usage? If just driving around town there are some very economical setups on ebay. I just ordered from KNS brakes as they have some good package deals. My car is my fair weather daily driver but will see some odd track days here or there when I don't want to take the racecar/trailer/etc. I opted for centric rotors and stoptech sport pads all around. Reasonable price and should perform adequately for my needs, based on my research.

For a daily driver the Brake Motive kit on eBay can't be beat. The kit does not come with the brake pad anti rattle clips so keep that in mind if you order them.

For an old man, doubtful you’re hitting the race track.

I’d just go to Autozone and get the best brake pads they have in stock and new rotors.

Simple, cheap, and readily available.

In terms of availability, Rock Auto has lots of budget rotor and pad options.

If more performance oriented, I'll second KNS, they seem to be very knowledgeable, and have some very nice package deals.

I agree with the BrakeMotive suggestion. These have been on my Z06 for 4.5 months / 2500 miles and I've enjoyed them for aggressive daily driving duties. No noise, no noticeable dust, no rusting, and satisfactory performance. Solid setup for the $153 I paid

Running Baer Eradispeed rotors and Hawk HPS pads. Set up has been on about 50k miles now. No issues whatsoever. The rotors are not cheap tho'. I have used Hawk pads on other cars and always liked the result. I buy my pads from Tire Rack.

I’ve had the BrakeMotive setup for about 8 years on my ‘02 and couldn’t be more pleased. No issues with performance, dust, or appearance. The hats are still rust free and look new.

First off thank you for the order. Every one counts especially now.

That said - there are a number of setups available depending on what you want.

Example 1: Garage queen, stock(ish) power, rarely use the brakes hard and really like good clean looks. This is where the lower $$ combo kits are fine. Brakemotive, Powerstop etc. Zinc coated drilled/slotted rotors and low dust pads. I would not pound on these as the pads are generally not super happy when hot but for regular driving they are fine.

Example 2: Mostly street use but hard driven. Mountains, high speed runs etc. The Centric/Stoptech combo listed above is a good example here. A bit better quality rotor that is not drilled and aggressive street pads. These will stop noticeably harder than the pads in Ex 1 but they dust and don't like easy use. I do like the Hawk HPS as a bit more reliable 'street performance' pad as the judder complaints are fewer but either work pretty well, feel pretty good - and last pretty well. I'd just pop in with KNS rotors instead of Centric but....well my name is on them so of course.

Example 3: Street and track use. This is where it gets hard. C5's are very hard on brakes on track. There is not really a pad that can do both that doesn't at least halfway suck at either.
