My Shocks came today...
anything I need to know?
anything I need to do?
I've got the F-45 now (still works but ride feels dated)
you guys like em'?, hate em'?
just shut up, put em' on and see for myself? (LOL)
seriously, will I tell a difference?
these are the ones I bought (hopefully they work)
their supposed to just plug in
saving my money for a 373 Diff right now (half way there) I've got the 273 Auto
I'll have them (RPM) tune the shocks out when they do my tune

Reason: thought of something else
My A4 was a 3.15 rear drive. Not happy with road course track performance, when the 3.15 began to whine and the bellville springs in the differential broke, I had an RPM 3.73 rear drive with Wavetrac differential put in, April 2016. A&A Corvette in Oxnard re tuned the PCM so that shifts were correct, otherwise it would hit rev limit before shifting 2-3.
Now after four years and 7 more track days at Laguna Seca I am reasonably happy with the 3.73 rear drive but should mention the following-
- 1st gear is really low, even with stock power it will roast rear tires. 1st is not useful on a road course. With the 3.73, I only use 2nd and 3rd on a road course.
- Road course performance with the 3.73 is much more competitive even with stock power.
- Depending on the mood of your car's traction control system, with the 3.73, wide open throttle 2-3 shifts may cause it to pull power because of wheel spin. Mine is schizophrenic on this, usually it doesn't but sometimes it does. Solution: COMPETITIVE DRIVING mode. That mode though, may make other things more exciting:
- With the 3.73, an unanticipated downshift 3-2 at high power out of a turn can be really exciting. I learned to do all manual shifts on track and not to upshift 2-3 before the PCM would not allow a downshift back to 2.
- As an aside, I had to add a B&M transmission pan, Dewitts radiator with both coolers, Improved Racing thermostat/ oil cooler hoses and an auxiliary transmission cooler to keep it cool on a road course even with stock engine power.
- My RPM 3.73 whined softly from new, still does, more noticeable above 65. Too much trouble and cost to complain about. I turn the sound system up.
- My car lost about 2 mpg overall going from 3.15 to 3.73, 2.73 to 3.73 will likely be more.
I should also mention that I have no experience in F-45 bypass, but I presume those should work.
What are the "DRM"s? I have the B8's - designed for 'lowered vehicle' - I'm not lowered at the moment (future project) - and feel that the B8s do stiffen up the ride (no surprise - and I'm OK with it)…

DRM stands for Doug Rippie Motosports, vendor, into track racing upgrades cooling etc..
They 'revalve' Bilsteins specifically for Corvette application - contact them to discuss, it has advantage in better 'shock curve' than regular bilsteins...very successful, and a less expensive alternative to Koni Yellows..
I don't track my car but do like to run the curvy back roads on weekends.
That's why I went with the DRM's, got to be better than the stock ones I have now
sloopdawg, your project is one that I'm interested in accomplishing for my own car with the Fe1 suspension; hope you can share your experience with the install with us, and best of luck for a trouble-free job!

Iv'e had them for 3 years on my lowered Z and they seriously keep the car planted and keeps the rear tires from bouncing when you go over bumps. Smart purchase! Installed these from the factory shocks after car was lowered.
Nice! I wish I would have gotten to a serious shock, but my 04 Z06 shocks on my 03 C5Z were nothing to scoff at, just looser some, for ride I believe, still stock was on the proverbial rails they nailed it.
