Default memory seats

When turning off the engine and removing the key is the seat supposed to return to a full back and down position? When I pull the key the seat moves forward and to an upright position making it harder to get out of the car. Is there a way that I can have it retract to a full back position?

I don't have my owners manual handy, but there is a process using DIC to change the easy-out feature settings -- where the seat goes to after pulling the key

I will have to look that up. It seems that my problem started after I checked the manual in order to reset the driving position of the seat.

Just checked the manual and could not find anything on easy-out feature

Set the easy entry to on from the DIC. Press options and scroll to easy entry then press reset to on.When you pull the key out the seat should go back all the way. Lock the car to make it work on re-entery.

I will go through the DIC until I find it. I thought I would find something in the manual but I didn't.

Here is what my manual says:
Easy Entry
The easy entry feature will only be available if the
vehicle is equipped with the memory option.
Press the OPTIONS button until SEAT EASY ENTRY
appears on the display, then use the RESET button
to page through the following choices:

SEAT EASY ENTRY ON

SEAT EASY ENTRY OFF
If you choose SEAT EASY ENTRY ON, when you turn
the ignition off and remove the key, the seat will
automatically move back and the telescopic steering
wheel (if equipped) will return to its full-forward position
for an easy exit or an easy entrance when returning
to the vehicle.
The seat will only return to the forward position if you
unlock the door with the keyless entry transmitter
or press the appropriate MEMORY button.
SEAT EASY ENTRY OFF turns off this option

The memory function for my seats and mirrors only work sporadically. I got so tired of adjusting them every time I started the car, I just gave up!

I found the option in the DIC for easy entry seat. I had to turn it on and off a couple times but it seems to work correctly now. Thanks to everyone for their help.
