Cluster replacement - straight rip & replace?

For my toy/track car (2000 c5 non z06) I'm looking to swap to a z06 cluster just for the higher redline on the tach.

Is it a direct rip & replace? Any tutorial?

Straight swap.Nothing different other than the tach.Easy to do.

There are ways to keep your mileage correct when changing clusters if you want to.

There are places locally and online who can program it too. I found a place out in Syracuse ny that will do it will do it locally for me. I asked my mechanic about a place and he told me.
