Corvette C5 HUD IC Chip Swap
Hello,
I was meaning to post this project for a while now. I have 1998 C5 Corvette with non-HUD and some members suggested adding pins on the non-HUD cluster to enable the HUD function (https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...er-thread.html) but some members were experiencing some issue with the "page" function so I bought myself a HUD enabled cluster.
I wanted to confirm that swapping the IC Chip from the Speedometer to another Speedometer does work as suggested by Bill (https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1598434094). I wanted to transfer my miles without going through the hassle of trying to find someone to reset the miles. For me, the project was easy and fun. I used Soldering iron, the fast chip kit, solder wick, Kapton tape, and isopropyl alcohol for the cleaning.
