Disconnected negative and pulled bcm installed wires, did not reconnect black relay, put back together hooked up negative, turned key on and still steering column lock, pops on, along with pull key wait, which I did, still doing it, what am I missing? Driving me nuts

That's what set this all off I think, I bought the interstate agm battery and installed, the steering column is not locked so no since in installing the the unlock wiring, right?

go back over the install and make sure you did it correctly, if so call Richard to developer, great guy.
despite all the rave reviews this thing gets I still see more people have issues installing it than the old plug and play module back in the day...you got a simple plug to unlock the column if it was locked, plugged in one plug and that was it...mine lasted for 18 years, sold it to someone else...no "brown wire mod" or tech support calls needed...
the column needs to be unlocked to start with ????
I think this might be the problem. When I did mine I had to use the unlocker first, than pull the relay so it can’t lock. I never did the brown wire mod and will get the pull key msg when the battery is low.
Thanks guys, having a vette was on the bucket list, when the cancer scare hit me from the doctor last year I made a priority to get one, and still haven't been able to enjoy it as much as i like, appreciate the feedback very much.

I just installed one of those last weekend along with the hyperflash eliminator and a Bluetooth module. Steering column lock bypass works perfectly.
I installed the LMC5 a month ago or so and have gotten the 'Pull Key / Wait 10 Seconds' error twice now. I don't know if the error ever popped up before as I've only had the car 2 months. I've been meaning to look into it but haven't gotten there yet.
I installed an LMC5 last year. Like many, right after installation, I had issues. HOWEVER, the issues went away after I re-read the instructions CAREFULLY, and followed them TO THE LETTER. I feel that I'm a reasonably intelligent person, but my skills are more toward mechanics than electronics.I will say that the instructions are complex in a couple of areas, and somehow I had skimmed over a fine point or two, and that's what gave me problems.
However, as others have mentioned, C-5 Corvettes are VERY voltage sensitive, so a low battery will also cause issues.

Following the instructions EXACTLY is the secrete. NO SHORT CUTS. AND do the brown wire install. Installed in March 2015 and have had no problems.
My initial install yrs ago worked but later had to do the brown wire install and had to backtrack and make sure I did everything correctly and called Richard for help. Great guy, read a story where he hoped a plane and did the install on an older guys car after he had problems, unreal customer service. There is a youtube on the install that i viewed several times before my install. I hate dealing with anything electrical on these finicky cars. I just bought an 03 Z06 and I know the dealer fix has been done but I think the LMC5 or similar mod has been done because the steering wheel does not lock and I THINK the dealer fix still allowed the column to lock. Not going to mess with it until I have to, if ever. Good luck with OP fix, let us know what the fix is. B well to all.
I looked over the instructions for the LMC5 which reminded me what the brown wire was for. I remembered not installing it but couldn't remember why. It seems like that will fix my problem as that is what the brown wire is for, I'll probably get that hooked up today and hopefully be fixed.

I agree. I installed the CLB in 2002 on my Z06 and it worked flawlessly till I sold it a couple of years ago.
