With the wheels and tires on order my next step is suspension. With several options for coilovers, Who has them and what brand are running,
Some will ask whats the purpose of the car. Well honestly the C5 is a great platform for a pro touring style of build. So that's where I'm heading with this.
So let me hear your experiences
I've run coilovers on many cars and probably will not do it again. However, if I ever change my mind on my C5, I would probably go with something like these, from LG Motorsports https://www.lmperformance.com/104302...BoCbioQAvD_BwE
Why I did not go Aldan:
-Reported issues with rear shocks leaking/not rebounding properly right out of the box (maybe it's fixed now)
-The only coilover that does front compression adjustment and rear rebound adjustment (strikes me odd by design to do it that way when NO other company does that)
-Not enough people run them competitively to give me a good feeling they will perform (vs proven DRM/Viking/Ridetech)
But if you just want a coilover to say you have coilovers and to lower the car or for a weekend warrior...any cheap coilover will do that.

well we installed the Aldans on our C 6 Z06 for AutoX, had issues with them leaking, (warrantied for life) Aldan repaired them and paid for shipping, the rears had a mount issue and they corrected that and sent us a new pair, they may not be great as far as adjustments but sure work a he** of a lot better then the leafs, we are satified with them especially for the money, after the fact we would go with a better adjustable setup !!!!

That just means Aldan has good customer service (which is good) but IMO I don't want to deal with what you did. Unless they had batch issues with shocks leaking and have since fixed it, I don't know. They still are not on many competitive cars to 1) ask people setup questions 2) prove durability
My last car was a 95 Camaro that got me into autocross that I would "try" things...Aldans would have been an option. My current C5Z, I wanted something proven that worked right out of the box.
I took my Ridetech's out of the box, bolted them in, drove around and set the shocks to my liking and haven't touched them since.
Well just ordered a set of silvers. With upgraded springs. Funny thing is they are right in my backyard as bd didn't even know it. Read some good reviews about them. I guess we will see.
Some ebay accounts have 5% Ebay bucks right now as well, giving about $50 bucks towards future ebay purchases, pretty solid deal, especially with the 5% ebay bucks.
