I picked up a ZO6 Titanium muffler over this weekend. The previous owner cut both pipes on the muffler. I was wondering anyone in NW Suburbs area knows a welder or shop that welds titanium. I live in Volo Illinois.
Looks like a nice clean cut at least. I removed my OEM exhaust while on jack stands (Harbor freight recall ones at that!!!) and I knew it wasn't worth anything so I cut the crap out of it just to get them off.
OP - you're literally 5 min from me - unfortunately I don't know anyone who can assist. It might be worth just calling local shops...? If they can't do it, they might be able to recommend you a place. There's a place called Performance Auto Repair in Lake Villa that seems to specialize in Corvettes - I was going to have them install my exhaust but ended up doing it myself. Worth a phone call at least.......
