I put black c6 z06 rims and pirelli tires on my c5 they look and ride great but my speedometer is off now by like 18 miles an hour. Is there a fix for this . Sorry I didn’t search for an answer but I usually have no luck when doing this. Any help?
Just googled it and a guy demonstrates re-calibration of his speed O using a device called HYPERTECH, plugs into port under dash, took 5 minutes. I suppose you cold contact maker of this device and see if it would work on your vette. Good luck with it.

thanks I’ll google into it I need one anyways. Thanks! I love this place.
What year is your Vette? Not sure if hypertech makes them for all years so you may have to get a different brand, but that's not a big deal. Also, if you have an ealier C5 ('97 - '99 I believe) and you have a custom tune in the car already then it won't work. Hypertech didn't account for computer tuning that was just coming out around that time for some reason. I changed my wheels and tires to a taller size recently, I also have a custom tune in it. So I had to have my tuner adjust it for me. My hypertech didn't work. Check with whatever brand you get to make sure it will work with custom tunes if in case you ever want to get one.
It would be extremely difficult to fit a short enough or tall enough tire combo, to cause an 18mph discrepancy. Only thing I can think of that might cause an 18mph difference, would be a significant rear gear ratio change.

There's very little difference between C5/C6/C6Z06 rolling radii, so whatever your problem is, it is not the tires - lots of people on here run C6Z06 tires without problem.
You sure no-one hit the MPH/KPH button by mistake?

that’s probably it . But it’s on the analog needle . Only thing is I went up from 17 18 to 18 19 . I didn’t think you could switch the needle. When my vette is back out of the shop I’ll video a drive.

I have 18" / 19" on my 02 and 19" / 19" on my 99 and have absolutely no speedometer problems.
