new to the forum dont know if I am in the right place..I have a question on whether the c6 z06 brakes upgrade will clear the stock c5 wheels? Thank you for bearing with me if this does not belong here.. thanks ted
Not even close I'm pretty sure. I think I read somewhere they don't even work with base 18"/19" base C6 wheels - not sure if it's a diameter issue or offset issue.
I’ve done it on my 04 Z06 and as mentioned, you need 4 18” Z06 rear wheels to clear. The 02-04 Z06 Speedlines have just (and I mean just) enough clearance for the front calipers, and have found that also doing this on an 01 Z06, the 18” Alcoa Z06 wheels clear as well with a little more room than the Speedlines.
I have since upgraded my wheels to TSW Nurburgring in 18/18 front and rear, and they clear by a considerable margin as well.
Great upgrade to the C5 for looks and performance!
