Once again. Show me this mythical $2,000 C5. I could walk into a Ferrari dealership selling a F355 for market price, claim it needs a major service and try and offer $20,000 less and I'd get laughed at. You can throw out numbers all you want, but "real street figures" is text on a screen. Show me a link, cite your sources. The value of your car is irrelevant. The value of my car is irrelevant. I'm not taking this personal, but you're providing bad information.
You claim that car is a $2,000 car. Show me comps! I've already done the research, I cannot find one on FB, on CL, or any of the usual channels for near that price. As I stated the best I can find is a few really rough cars for $5,000. Maybe you get them for $4,000, maybe $3,750 on a bad day, but that's not $2,000. You've yet to post anything other than hearsay. You're changing subjects, trying to say we're all looking for high value, going on and on about "Corvette" this and that. I don't doubt you can buy good C5s all day for $7,500 if you know where to look, but your $2,000 price point is not realistic until you prove otherwise.
So let's see your proof.

Methamphetamine is bad. Any day of the week I'd give $2K for any mileage C5. Hell, the earlier C5's EBCM is worth over $1,000 all by itself.
Wow, you continue to dig your hole deeper.
There is a C5 with over 700,000 miles on it in the Corvette Museum and guess what, it's still has the original engine. The LS1 is a great engine and would not need to be rebuilt at 147K miles. All your other tidbits are pure speculation.
Again, and for the last time, where are these $2K C5s?
Clean your glasses because I said I'd value 2k for the C5 but you didn't read the part on my reason for that. Therefore Two types of sellers here, ones in denial and ones who actually want to put cash in their pocket.
Screw the NCM C5 you expect any and every car including the C5 to make it that far? You clearly don't take account for any abuse any c5 may have. However I get it! The c5 was the last of the old man era.

Meet me on the off topic as I made a new post. I'm done hijacking this man's post.
Don't even trip on the thread hijack. It's all good! I think it's pretty obvious the 2k valuation is not realistic. I'm sure those rims and tires are worth more. That being said I think I'm going to pass on the trade offer. I researched a little and c5's in the 150 to 170k mileage range are going between 9 and 11k. I've gotten a few offers for 10 to 11k cash for the Chevelle but I'm going to hold out for just a bit more. It appears to be a very well taken care of Corvette though I'm sure he's put a lot of time and money into it
Cars like that sell in Ca all day for 5 to 8k. 10 is stretching things. A very nice 04 6 spd black coupe with 80k recetnly sold on here for somewhere between 8-9
C5s arent going up in value, youre getting ripped buddy.
Yours may be going up in value, C5s arent

There are no reply buttons in your thread over there LOL
The only thing you got right with the $2000 valuation is it will cover the wheels and tires.
That Corvette is worth what somebody is willing to pay, and my guess as a dealer selling Corvettes for over 15 years is that it would retail for around 9 to 11,000.
Run rabbit, run
I'm getting older day by day yet somehow, yes somehow, I've yet to see the $2,000 C5 posted here
Nick, I don't blame you for holding out for more than $10K, you have a nice looking Corvette there.
Nick is the one with the Chevelle.
Whether a trade is a good deal or not for him depends on what his Chevelle looks like. If it's a big bumper 4 door, take the trade and run.
