We've had several customers comment that our low-rise headlights have a tendency to jiggle when driving. This was apparently due to the bump-stops behind the hinges not making contact due to the lower-rise of the lifting assembly. We've found a relatively simple yet robust solution as follows:
Remove the headlight trim and cover, then remove the headlight hinge bolts/nuts. Identify the bump-stop tabs Remove the bump-stop tabs then drill a 3/16" hole in the center of each tab. Install the screw, countersunk washer, rubber spacer on the top side and the nylon lock nut on the bottom side. Tighten only to the point the point where the plastic washer can no longer be spun by hand. View from another angle The rubber spacers compress slightly when the headlight raises while the plastic washers prevent the screw head from touching the plastic. This provides a firm yet flexible bump-stop that minimizes jiggle.
