Default Skid Stiffners

New owner of a 50AE convertible............................. ...I have seen these in a few online catolgues. "Skid Stiffners". So I went out in the garage to look at the bottom side of front bumper. Sure enough, scrapes and gouges.
My question is ....Has anyone here intalled these and do they work. If so how are they attacted? Pics would be great!

Thanks
Still aclassicnut

I thought about adding a set of those a long time ago. I also considered the ones with roller skate wheels, but simply ended up adding a set of Fangs. Easy install and if scraped, a simple light sand and Armor All will make them look like new. Below is a picture of the original white fangs so you can see them. I later swapped them for the black Fangs which you can't really see but still protect the radiator frame rails.

I also ran a set of the Fangs on my C5 - they do work to protect the lower radiator support from damage.

I have the Fangs, and if I scrape I just touch them up with a sharpie marker.

I took some 3/16 X 1" mild steel, bent it to the right shape and laid over the lower radiator support and bolted it on. Painted it black, can't see it, and if it gets messed up too bad, I will just replace with the same.
