Too many crappy drivers to DD a car you care about. Just got bumped by a guy who seemed to feel that his $80,000 Tesla was going to magically create a wider shoulder rather than just merging (right lane ended .1 mile before) behind my Toyota Highlander. I’m buffing out and he has a $4000 repair. I like it that way. Not looking to do body work on the Vette.
Mine is a time capsule of a different kind.... one that sees everything
Yeah mine has 186 and a 98 but it's in immaculate condition thanks to me spending time in those books and crannies, it's what I did as a professional detailer. And no I won't use Adams lol. Wolfgang, zymol and swissvax for me
How often someone drives their car really doesn’t matter to me and those that just put a few miles on the car per year may enjoy the car just as much as someone who daily drives theirs..
However, I enjoy daily driving my Corvette. I can't imagine not driving a Corvette with a manual transmission every day. But that's my preference. Life is too short not to do the things that you enjoy.and live where and how you want. Between work and play I am good for !5-16,000 miles per year and I love every mile.

That's a good read. I can tell you really enjoy driving it. They're great cars and fun to drive. I just fruise. When I was younger with my 383 c4 I had fun. Now with this one I just cruise it. My daughter loves it and I always tells her "always remmeber that when you have a fast car that doesn't mean you have to drive it crazy. Just enjoy it and cruise"

As much as I enjoy driving a Corvette, I enjoy maintaining it and keeping it as clean and as pristine as possible. I agree, Corvettes are great and fun to drive.

Daily drove mine 2 years straight, bought it in my 20s... then it became a project, garage gem, sold it and then years later bought it back again... still a garage gem driven on nice weekends when I want to get away.
Guys at work tease that it’s a 2019 Corvette all the parts (Refurbishments) I’ve put new with it just sitting still.
The thing is, everyone has a particular car for a reason, this Corvette from my past which I purchased back again is meant to keep for a long time, I love the car and memories that much. I’m 40 and plan to have it still mint when I’m 75 so that means I enjoy driving it on nice days, looking at it in my garage sometimes remembering the memories, and working on it to keep it as young as I, sadly, won’t be someday.
The car will stay sharp, it’s a time machine for me. It’ll keep my soul young.

Thats how I am. I'm getting it cleaned up from the previous owner. I'm almost done. Just finish polishing the hood and do the ceramic coating. Here my car getting it back to pristine The c6z seats made a huge improvement and looks so good Finally clayed, ironed and polished. That rear end along with the rest of the car was a total nightmare. Took so long to clay
I don't daily drive but I do drive it. Why saves all the miles/enjoyment for the next owner? Not like this car is meant to be an investment vehicle like some cars are. Not expensive enough in today's market. Maybe in 20 years from now when enough of them are off the road or a phase comes through that makes them super popular for whatever reason. But it's 110% not the reason I bought it for.

When I worked for autozone I was delivering an invoice to a local car lot and I saw the owners wife had a white c6 base model. I asked them if it's for sale and this is how it went
Hey that's a nice Vette, is it for sale?
Oh no that's a collector
how so?
Cause it's low miles, son if you knew about these cars you'd understandActually I have 2 white corvettes at home so I do know. But that's a base model, what makes it a collector?
It's low miles!
Yeah but it's not a white Ron fellows edition zo6 or a zr1 or anything. It's a very nice c6 a d I'd like to buy it if you'd sell it
I'd sell it but for s good amount cause it's our collectorOk how much? (Mind you this was in 2010 and it was an 05)
id take 45 for it cause it's our collector
Well that's a little too high for my budget but it's a very nice and clean c6
I only drive about 8k a year. We have winter here so that rules out almost half and I have two Vettes. I daily drive mine for about 5 years in summers though.
