Well boys I went ahead and ordered the "squircle" wheel for my car. It will look like this with a black stripe on top because I like it more subtle than loud.
I'll post pics when it arrives and installed
It has finally arrived and it is a beautiful piece!
I added a subtle, thin black stripe as I am more muted with my interior color choices
It's going to be a bit before it's installed as I am still working on changing out my clutch but so far looks great
I'm planning to install this one this coming weekend. I'm very happy with how it turned out and the quality as it's definitely beefier than the one I have now, however since it's Redline I guess it's not an option.
MSG C5 your wheel is beautiful, Wish I could afford one like that. I have a mod red interior and would go for red/black with the red stripe. Yours looks like padded with thumbs bumps right?

Correct. It's actually thicker than stock as well. I'm in the process of refreshing my C5 interior and this steering wheel is actual a mod of a mod as my original flat-bottom steering wheel is from DSV. It's a nice steering wheel, but the gray never completely matched up with my Vette Essentials gray leather so I'm going in a different direction.
I like the carbon fiber wheels pictured, however I don't really have any real Carbon Fiber in my C5 interior, just the hydro-dipped GM 08' pattern on my double din bezel. I did add a Caravaggio steering wheel with matching GM non-glossy Carbon Fiber but stuck with leather only for the C5.
The fit and finish of aftermarket C5 wheels is very good although I would probably not pay > $750
The wheels look great but I just have a real gag reaction to the giant thumb grips and the Ricer center mark at the top of the wheel. To each their own
