The initial work is kinda tough but once it’s clean it’s easier to maintain. Good job.

Absolutely right! I steamed the engine a week or so ago to really get it clean and then as you say, it's easy to maintain

Not seen in this picture is a carbon fiber oil dipstick top and a carbon fiber nose cover.

How do you like that carbon fiber nose piece? I have a stainless one now but I've been debating on getting that one instead.

They are made by Proform available thru Summit Racing. I think they were around $300. Also upgraded the PCV system to the late 04+ which puts it in the valley cover. Coil packs were put into the fender along the fuel purge valve.
Caution with the valve covers. If you drive the car a lot, the recommended oil fill cap (has a rubber push in seal) shrinks over time and can allow oil to seep out. I reached out to Proform and they are aware of the issue. Was told GM is coming out with a redesign. These are made by Proform for GM.

So is it safe to steam clean the motor - no electrical issues to be concerned about after?

I wouldn't. A lot of simple green and elbow grease.

This is the best color by far because it is not vibrant and blends in so perfect that it's a head turner
