Chasing that elusive squeak
So recently my z06 developed some unwarranted noises. I’ve got a rattle, which I’ve located to be on the exhaust. I think something in my resonator is rattling around or broke off. And I’ve also got what o describe as a whistle/chirp noise. It’s constant just driving down the road. I just finished changing my end links and bushings hoping it would fix it but no avail. It seems to be coming from the driver side rear. It’s an odd noise, like a faint, consistent metal rubbing. Has anyone encountered anything like this?

I chased a similar squeak, turn out to be the airbag in the steering wheel was loose. couple of turns on the screws on the back of the wheel fixed it. It was a pain to chase down, it sounded like it was moving around the int. Doesn't hurt to check.

Did you replace both the inner and outer tie rods in the rear? I had a squeak back there that drove me crazy for almost two years and I replaced every suspension component but it wasn't until I replaced the inner rear rod on the driver's side that I finally got rid of it. The boot on the inner tie rod was compromised and it got rusty so squeak, squeak, squeak . . .
But no more!
Could also be the wheel bearing. A shop should be able to tell you that pretty easily.
