I need to touch up a few small stone chips on my headlight covers and rockers and need paint to do so. What have you guys used and where is the best place to buy from? Any input as always is greatly appreciated.
I go to my local auto paint store. I usually get a pint and/or rattle can. I do this for all my vehicles. The paint store matches and then mixes up the paint. This is the fastest and best way for me.
Agree with FYRARMS on Dr. Color Chip.......follow the directions & you will be good. I have used this several times with very good results...and I am a particular kind of guy.
I have used "automotivetouchup" several times.............always pleased with the results. I would recommend them and i'll use them again in the future. BTW I'm not associated to them in manner, just a a customer. Also the "Customer Service" is great.

Either automotivetouchup.com, Dr. Colorchip, or even a bottle of OEM touch up paint will do the trick. Or, if you know someone that works at a body shop, ask them to mix up a small bottle of paint for you.

What do you do about any raised edges around the chip??
They make a sanding pen (look on the end of the AC Delco touchup posted below) and you sand the edges down with it. After touchup with the paint for the best results you will need to wet sand it down, then buff, and then clear and wet sand and buff again.
