I have an 02 base coupe auto with 2:73 rear. Terrible low end response. Has anyone tried this? Do they work. This is the only one Ive seen that works on a c5.

I seriously doubt that a plug-in device will overcome a high gear ratio. At almost 300.00 for this thing you're a third (or less) on the way to a set of 3:15 or 3:42 gears that will give you what you want if you can install it yourself.

I just had my 2.73 gears replaced with a 3.42 unit I found here used. This along with a tune that the shop did and the car is like I envisioned it should be.

If you want to make your car feel quicker - your FIRST mod should be gears. Go with at least 3.42 (there are many threads on this) if you're going to bother. Unless you're taking it to the drag strip, I don't think you'll need a different torque converter although many people seem to swear by them.

Mine still drives smoothly but when you want the power it's there. I'm super happy with the results.
