Who has time for limited mileage? These cars eat up the road with great comfort. Almost 275,000 on mine. Many more to go.

01 Z, put every mile on it, 34 miles from the big double century. Did a drive that I thought would pull up the 200k at my drive way but came up short. There is always tomorrow, with God's Will.

Congrats on 275K. Did you buy it new? Would be interesting to see the maintenance and repair history.

Second owner, but I have all the records from the first.

The car spent most of its life from 50 to 250k as a race car, so the maintenace is a bit more than most, but nothing outlandish. Original trans (M6) was rebuilt at around 160k if I remember right. It had all the common little issues - HUD window fell, column lock issues, etc. but now it's sorted and I drive it daily.

2001 with 54,000. Bought it this year. I will drive it... everywhere. Whenever I can. Not going to be a garage queen. I will put LOTS of miles on this car.

So it has the original LS1 and transmission and was a race car for 200K miles. Impressive! Was it always a Florida car? How has the exterior paint and interior held up? Any pictures?

Speaking of save the wave, I do wave to EVERY Corvette I see and was excited to be part of 'the club'. There are lots of Corvettes around where I live and what I have noticed is the C7 and C8 people never seem to wave. They are too cool or something I guess. I have yet to get a wave from a C7 or C8 and seen maybe 5 of them while on drives. C6, C5 and C4's I have seen all wave except for one C6 I saw.

I also waved at a C3 once but I was in my Nissan grocery getter and I don't think they even paid attention to me haha.

I haven't had the pleasure of seeing a C8 in person yet. However, most (sadly not all) corvette owners definitely wave back, Look carefully, some will wave while still keeping there hand on the wheel.

I can say for sure 2 of the C7's didn't wave back but yeah, doesn't matter to me - I'll keep waiving haha.

I have seen 2, possibly 3 C8's.

Two at the dealer when I was looking at corvettes. One was black, one was white. I really dug the white one and was walking all around it, opening it and looking at it. I didn't sit in it though.

I have seen a white C8 in the wild and was possibly the same one I saw at the dealer so that's why it's 2, possibly 3.

LOL I found this to be kinda mostly true! Can't generalize but it's happened to me too with C7 and C8s. Saw a C8 the other day and I was literally next to him at a stop light and I had to honk and wave to get his attention. Some do wave though.

I actually didn't know about the wave when I first bought my Vette. It was a wonderful surprise when all the other corvette owners I passed started waving at me. I always waved back. I think it's an awesome tradition. It occurs to me that many C8 owners have never owned a Corvette before, and they may not know of the tradition. Being in a C8, they're sure to be getting all kinds of attention wherever they go With everybody waving all the time, they just might have become "blind" to it.
