Just purchased two ACDelco Professional Automotive AGM Batteries at Summit, for ~$60 (free shipping) a piece for my daily drivers before the winter season, don't know what the deal is but at any other automotive sight they are ~$150. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ado-24fs

HOWEVER, if you plug in the application info for a C-5 Corvette, the recommended battery is approximately $270...........
So I ordered one of these batteries for another vehicle I have. It clearly says at the top of the listing that it is an AGM battery. NOT!!! Got it today after a shipping delay of 3 weeks and it's a regular lead/acid battery. A good price but not what I wanted. Anyone else get this surprise?
I looked at that item and just under the main title it says ASM, although the description still discusses AGM technology. I have found that this type of typo will get a surprise at delivery. I've learned to call first before ordering because I've had many of these little surprises over the years, and I won't play that game anymore.
I called Summit after I got the battery. The rep there was confused too so calling ahead probably would have yielded the same result. Apparently they just cut and pasted the description from AC Delco's website; so I guess the info is wrong there too. If so, a lot of PO'd people. Anyway it was still a good price on the battery although not what I was expecting so I'm keeping it. They sent me a 25 dollar gift card to make up for the trouble.
Just a heads up for anyone contemplating the purchase. If it sounds too good to be true...........
