Default New tires

So I picked up a set of new wheels for the C5. Now it’s time to debate tires for a month before I finally pick a set.
I went with a set of 18/19 Cray Eagles. 18x9 +55 & 19x10.5 +69
I think I’m set on tire size. 265 35 18 & 305 30 19.
Im running Michelin Pilot Sport a/s 3+ on my current OEM wheels but I’m striking out finding the same tires in the new rear size. I came across the Hankook Ventus V12 evo 2 or the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S. Can I get some opinions on tire choices in either these brands or something I haven’t listed? These are really the first set of sports car tires I’ve ever purchased so I don’t want to be doing the car a disservice by getting underperforming tires.

My first preference is always Michelin but some members suggested I give the Hankooks a try. Have to say, I have been very pleased with them.

I run the Ventus V12 in 275/3518 and 305/3019 on my car and they do pretty good for a 320TW tire. Walmart actually had them for a good price when I got mine. I live not terribly far from Hwy 129 and drive it often and just drove to LSFest this past weekend and did the Autocross and TrackX and they did decent for me being a first timer then I drove it home after two days of that.

After considering many options I ended up with Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. I really like them. Nice ride, quiet and good grip wet or dry. As an added bonus they won't break the bank and till 11/1/20 there is a $60 rebate.

Has anyone had any rubbing issues with a 305 30 19 tire in the rear or 275 35 18 tire on the front?

I ran the Hankook Ventus V12 EVO tires on my last two C5s and I really liked them. Smooth ride, very low road noise and good handling from a relatively inexpensive tire.

I think for the price imma try out the V12s. There’s enough C5 guys that have good things to say. I haven’t been able to find anything really negative.

I'll second that motion...
