How does lowering the C5 affect the ride...
does it make it more bumpy than when not lowered?
ThxQ for a response...
It depends on the current ride height, and how much you lower it. These cars do tend to vary a bit, right from the factory, so there's no "one answer fits all cars". Secondly, you're talking about a car that could be up to 22 years old, and may have worn out components, which all by themselves, will compromise ride quality.
Post a picture of your car, so we can see how high/low it currently sits.

Just purchased it... it has only 35K miles on it. The owner had it already lowered it. I want to raise it back to factory. It seems bumpy to me... but it could be the tires...

Nice looking car. Overall, it doesn't look all that low, and the front looks higher than the rear, which isn't good for the aerodynamic balance of the car. If you're insistent on raising it, I'd bring the rear up about 1/4-3/8", and leave the front as-is....
How old are those tires 35k on the car?
Are they run flats?
I got rid of the run flats and lowered all the way down in stock bolts and the ride is fine, although I have the QA1 adjustable shocks in her as well...
Check the bolts on the suspension to see if it's lowered.....
Depends on the shocks. I just had mine dropped about 1.5in and I run Bilstein B8. I feel that when the car was dropped it put the shock innards into a different zone. Its now "firmer at first hit" than they were before - but no rubbing/bottoming problems at this relatively small drop.

Tires are a huge factor in ride for obvious reasons, but seem to be overlooked. I switched out tires that were on the car when i bought it, ATLEAST 10 years old, amazing how much nicer the car drives.
I didn't notice one bit of a harsher ride when I lowered my 02. Tires, on the other hand, made a big difference in ride quality.
I also agree with leadfoot4, just bring up the rear a tad.
