Sticky Steering Wheel
Just got my wife’s 04 Vert out of storage and the top of the air bag(center of wheel) is very sticky. Haven’t found anything to take it off. No idea where it came from as she has owned this car since new and it always gets put away for a couple months each year. Anybody seen anything like this ?

Had this happen to me recently as well, but just on the airbag. Apparently, it's a very common thing for C5's. My research shows that pretty much any decent degreaser will clean the sticky off, but will leave the part in need of dying to get the sheen back. Search youtube for"

I couldn't find lemon ammonia anywhere, regular ammonia works just fine, fumes are strong, have some ventilation going.
My wheel came out great, had to put a little of the Armor All type rubber treatment stuff on it afterwards as it did dry it out noticably.
It will take 2-3 microfiber towels, use those as they'll hold whats coming off, which will be alot, and you can just rotate the towel to a clean spot
