Hello! i recently purchased a nassau blue c5 corvette. Sometimes when it the brakes an alert comes up as Active Handling and the car seems to slide forward a bit. Its hard to describe. Has this ever happened to anyone on here? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Theres braking....and then theres braking. If you mean hard braking (maybe on a turn) you may see active handling come on as the system tries to correct yaw induced by sliding, but in reasonable straight line braking all you should get is anti-lock braking....which I am not sure shows on the display.

It is when i am in a straight line. Come to think of it it happens mostly after i make a hard acceleration and go to hit the brakes.
Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the car. Yeah, it sounds like the car is reacting to your "spirited" driving. As long as it doesn't happen during "normal" driving, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Don't forget to SAVE THE WAVE
Stock wheel/tire sizes? If they arent that may do it..... other than that, no it shouldnt be showing.
You have any codes showing in the self diagnostic?
It is likely that your Steering ?Wheel Position Sensor is failing. This can send a bad signal to active handling system and cause unexpected brakeing and power loss.
It can also cause cruse control to randomly disengage. if your car is 2000 or later new sensor is about $70. Changing it is a real PITA. The good news is you can disable active handling by pressing the button on your console.
