Your choice in a car cover really depends on what you need to use it for. Is the car parked outside or inside? Are you storing your car and in what type of environment, etc.? You mentioned it will be parked under a car port, so even though the car is covered, I would still look for a cover designed for the outdoors and make sure the inside of the cover won't scratch the car when the cover gets hit with wind, rain, or other elements. If it's a daily driver, the best option may not to use any cover due to the hassle.

I have Ultraguards for my Corvettes. They are available through West Coast Corvette or Amazon and they offer covers for cars parked both inside and outside. When I got my first (2004) C5 Corvette, I lived in the Chicago area and stored my C5 in the garage for 4-5 months during the winter so I wanted a quality cover that wouldn't scratch the finish, etc. The Ultraguard cover is made of Spanx-like material that is designed for a custom fit for your specific car make & model. It has an inside felt liner so it won't scratch the finish, unlike cheaper plastic and nylon covers.

I now live in Florida and only use the covers for when I'm away traveling and the cars are shut down for weeks at a time. While keeping the cars clean, they also help protect the cars from scratches or other accidental damage from anyone at home. I liked the Ultraguard I had for my C5 so much that I decided to buy one for my C7Z as it fits really well over the Stage 3 aero.

Again, it may be overkill for some people, however your choice should be based on how you plan to use the cover and how often you need to use it as prices vary,

I’ve been reasonably happy with the brand that is sold through Costco. It comes with at least a 3 year warranty and you can extend it another year with the Costco Visa card. Mine is parked outside and covered every day during our Cincinnati 4 seasons. First one lasted a little under 3 years so I’m on my free warranty replacement now. Total life for the 2 should be over 5 years.

currently on sale now at Costco.com now I believe.
