Same here attached garages aren’t that warm unless they are heated. My garage is fully dry walled three of the four walls are insulated meaning the garage doors insulated and it’s probably 10° warmer inside the garage and it is on the outside.
Sounds exactly like my set-up. I do have a heater in a section my garage, but it's electric, and set up just for occasional use. Also, I have too much "dead air space" in the upper portion of that part of the garage, so trying to heat it isn't practical. When I put the addition on, I made it tall enough to house a 4 post lift, but as it turned out, the cost of the addition itself, killed the budget, and the lift never materialized......

Those of us who are "up there" in age, remember how the early "mag wheels" that we bought, back in the 70s, were not "hub centric", so we actually drove our cars with "nothing but the lug nuts" holding the wheels on. Oh, and with respect to the comment about the factory not storing the tires during cold weather, let me ask you this....does the factory keep the cars sitting there, unmoved, for 4 months at a time?
I store my Vette in an unheated garage over the winter. The only thing I do special is park on a set of carpeted mats. Hasnt hurt anything over two winters so far.
Very cool looking design. I haven't seen that one before. I don't understand why it needs washers. A few companies make these. There is a long thread in the autocross/racing sub forum. One of the forum sponsors makes a set. Very fancy and expensive. Most people use them for alignments. Makes it much easier to do the adjustments.

I've been storing at least one car in an unheated garage for the last 25 northern Michigan winters. First 23 on concrete, last 2 on steel 4 post lift. Haven't had a problem yet.

the need for washers are not mandatory but I figured there is more surface contact with the hardened washers than there is with small diameter of the conical lug nut. I’ve since replaced the chrome lug nuts with hex nuts.
