To answer your question, no, I don’t think headers are worth it given how expensive they are for these cars... if that’s where your mods will stop

Everyone has an opinion. I like the way the headers make the car sound, a set of high flow cats, and any cat back. Makes the corvettes sound angry, I just love it. Also an additional 40-50 rwhp with intake and tune is a bonus. Straight piping these cars or just doing a cat delete, makes the car obnoxious and actually illegal.

headers, cats, and an actual cat back for an awesome throaty rumble, Corsa extremes if you want it to scream like a jurrassic park raptor.

👍

from a sound standpoint alone they were worth it for me. My car (01 z06) made 376/386 to the wheels with headers, vararam, borla exhaust, and a tune. The car wasn’t noticeably faster, but the sound quality compared to just the borla exhaust was massively improved and there is definite weight savings to the headers over the factory manifolds and H-pipe.

like I said, I would do it again, and get even more expensive headers if I bought another c5.

If it's an A4 then add a 3.42 rear gear and the longtubes will be even more awesome.
It will be a different car

Here is my dilemma I'd like opinions on:

With the current Corsa set up I have, I can purchase Corsa LT Headers for a whopping $1300, and they bolt right on to my current set up no welding or anything necessary. I am in a situation where I am unable to do the work myself, so I will have to take it to a shop. I was quoted $900 for labor and a custom tune. So I will be out the door $2200 with LT headers installed.

From your guys' experience, is this worth it? or is there a way I can purchase a pair of $500 used LT Headers and have them connected to my current Corsa X-Pipe somehow? Do I get rid of the Corsa X-Pipe and install different LT Headers with X-Pipe?

Seeing the price go to $2200 made me realize its more than 1/4 of the price I bought the actual car for. Let me know what you guys think. I'd really like to be at around $1500 or less installed.
Is it worth it?
1. $2200 for the HP you will make - especially if you retain the stock catalytic converters - which you should, It is about $100 per HP +/-
2. Sound will be, well, not sure. Do you have stock or aftermarket cam. Mild cam will do more for the exhaust with Corsa Ext catback than headers will with a stock cam IMO.
3. Headers have more potential for excess heat, more potential for burnt wires etc. Stock manifolds are effiecinet and bullet proof.

Only you can tell if this is worth it for you.

+1 for Kooks. They're expensive, but they fit perfectly. You'll probably need a Kooks midpipe to go with the headers though.
