Default Power seat i broke something

Hello, I recently got a 03 ZO6 im having the issue where the power seat move a little bit then it stops moving, so I took the seat out to check for any cut or corroded cables, I decided to clean out the switch thinking it was that but in the process I broke the tabs in the switch, does anyone happen to know what the part is called?? Appreciate the help.

If I were to call that part anything I would would call it "broken" . All kidding aside I would just replace the whole switch assembly. If it is an internal part to the switch you will probably never find that individual piece. Oh by the way congratulations on your new purchase and welcome to the club.

Yeah I figure that much!!! the seat still works only when it wants, all the cables look good and nothing is cut or anything. I just made it worst lol. I'm gonna try to 3d print the piece see if maybe I can get that to work, if not yeah ill just replace the whole switch.

That seat switch is very difficult to find even used. It’s a base seat switch that the aftermarket didn’t make unlike the sport seats that has a (crappy Chinese) aftermarket option.

They are out there but you’ll need to do some searching and expect to pay more than $100.

The switch is the root problem. Common enough for switches to go out that an aftermarket version was made, but only for the sport variety.

Electric motors work or they don’t, typically. There usually isn’t a middle ground. If you want your seat fixed first you should buy a new switch first. Don’t bother piecing together your faulty and (now) physically damaged unit.

Sent you a PM in reply to my parts for sale thread. I do have the seat switch. I also have the wire harness and control module for the seats. Let me know what all you need.

I had the same problem with my drivers seat. It ended up being a broken wire right at the C3 connector position A on the Seat Control Module. Look up my post of 2/18/ 20. Good Luck

Closer shot

Position A is on the bottom right of the connector

C3 is the black connector on the top of the SCM

Just curious-Do you have the memory function? I'm pretty sure you do. Anyway-My main question is "Does your seat stop moving before it gets to your saved position"? Mine gave me many problems for years. Then I saw a "how to" video on YT made by C&S Corvettes in Sarasota, Fl. SMART GUYS. What is wrong with your seat may be a dirty potentiometer. The video will show you how to take it apart. The seat must be removed from the car, and the potentiometer cleaned. It is not normally a serviceable item. Good old Generous Motors wants you to buy a whole new seat, of course!!! Mine had very little dirt in there, mainly dirty film of old grease. I didn't even think this would fix it, there was so little dirt/grease. But it did. Like a new seat again. Search YT for it. May not be by C&S, but it is there somewhere. Try Marc Rose at Vettenuts for a good used switch. Good luck.....
