My best guess is they swapped it to auto. IMO it would be a lot more work to convert a 2003 Corvette over to a fixed roof plus turn everything into Z06-spec than it would be to swap the transmission.

No C5 Z06 came from the factory with an automatic.

All C5 Z06 were manual. My guess is that someone swapped it to auto for drag racing.

and they changed the Z06 wheels and painted (or replaced) the red brake calipers.
