I’m having a heck of a time finding a secondary air pump for my 98. Is this something you could help me with? (Just finding where to buy the part. )🙏🏻 I’ve been searching the net and coming up empty. Thanks for your help.

I have one for a 99 Trans Am I took off about 8 years ago and it has been inside ever since. Might it be the same?
Wow. If they don't have it.....Have you tried Dino's Corvette salvage? If no luck there, perhaps try a local salvage yard, and have them look thru their national hotline to other yards. You wouldn't think an item like an AIR pump would be in such demand. What is so different about your model year pump?

Evidently the part was changed in 2000. The 98 part was made from 1994 to 1999. Why are they unavailable? Good question.
I have put myself on a waiting list at Dino's as their part is "out of stock"!!
AC Delco web site shows the following fitments for this 1998 Corvette air pump, may want to check your local boneyards for the cars listed below.
OR
A quick search on Fleabay show there is a rebuild service for the 93-97 CHEVY CAMARO V-8 5.7L ELECTRONIC SMOG/AIR PUMP which may be applicable to the 1998 Corvette....May want to contact them to see what they can do for you as I have no experience with this company..
Cheers,
Goose

Reason: format
I'm not even using the one on my car, I should just take it off.
I'm told that if I don’t replace this pump the check engine light will stay on. I don’t want a permanent light on. How would I know when another problem occurs? It’s an old car. There’s always something popping up......
Rebuild it! Ask any member of the NCRS if they have any leads. I was looking for a OPTI one guy had six on the shelf! That pump should have nothing to do with service engine light but it will affect many other items and give you the service engine light.Did you check codes?

A tuner can turn off just that one item so that any other check engine light you would get would come on as it normally would.

One reason they may be unavailable: Front end collisions? I'd assume that a lot of them are destroyed in frontal crashes...
