I asked my mechanic this question. He said he couldn’t do it....maybe a legal problem?? I’d rather do this than pay a bunch of $$ to replace it....

You need to find a performance shop.

Yes, that would be ideal. Does anyone know someone in the New Orleans area that would be willing to do this for me? I would obviously be willing to pay.

I am an older retired lady so rebuilding is not an option. (Sounds expensive.) I don’t drive that much anymore but love my car and want to keep it as long as possible. I did run codes. It was P0410.

If your go to mechanic is unwilling to do the tune out and it is because of a legal issue, do you have emission testing in LA? If not, try the joining states for a tuner that will zap the the light. Another option, just put a piece of black tape over the light so it does not bother you. I did that on a different car for 3 years. Did not bother me a bit.

No emission testing in La. I need to have the light functional so I can realize any new issues that might turn up.

Looks like there is a pretty good shop in Baton Rogue according to guys on LS1Tech, I'm pretty sure they could easily turn the AIR codes off. I ditched that whole system when I changed exhausts on mine, everything else will still work perfectly fine.

Yikes the prices! Plus installation will be around $160. Second thinking this whole idea.....need to tune it out.
