The 3rd brake light (center one) is out. Went to Classic Chevrolet and was told in their parts department that that particular part is not available from GM and there is no stock anywhere in their system. Have also checked with local auto parts stores and found the same thing. Anyone have a clue as to who might have this particular light?
BTW: I have been told that if that center brake light is out, that it will also take out the dash lights as well. And, mine are out. I've checked fuses and they are good. Any suggestions?
I have a good factory spare. You can have it for $25 shipped. However, check the electrical connector just behind the passenger rear wheel on the frame. This one is for the harness connector for the tail light harness. On a friends car he had a damaged pin on the vehicle side of the harness. A wire splice to bypass the bad pin and all is good.
PM me for details on the 3rd brake light.
As to the dash lights not working, that is a separate issue from the 3rd brake light. This issue may be the multi function switch. If you have a 2001 or newer with the Twilight Sentinel feature, is this on or off? If it has this and is off, turn it on. If the dash lights work then the issue is the multi function switch.
If you want a red lens, used is your only option. There have been NO new/aftermarket red lens third brake lights for the C5 from forum vendors, Ebay, or Amazon for over six months.

I not an expert in 3rd brake light of corvette, but it being a led light bar, except if you have some led out, which can happen, and usually not all together, I would suspect harness/connector issue more than light itself.
