I’ve always liked the FRC. It’s sort of a poor mans Z06. What’s a reasonable price for a very nice 39k one? Very clean and needs nothing. No paintwork with some documentation. Thanks!

I agree with the $13-15k range others have quoted for most FRC. I see some FRC listed with 100k+ miles and asking price of $13k, who knows if they sell for that price though.
With the low mileage and clean condition, as described, I would say $15-16k would be fair. If it is a "rare" color FRC such as Nassau blue then that can fetch a premium as well.
I know a guy that paid $20k for this.
Absolutely perfect. Not a scratch or rock chip. A 10 of 10. Only rear bumper repainted from parking lot bump. Clean CarFax.
6 liter LSX with LS3 heads, headers and mild cam. 517 hp. Hurst shifter. Differential brace. Coil Overs. Billy Boat Route 66 exhaust.
CCW wheels, new Continentals Extreme Contact Sports. Interior a 10 of 10.
That guy was me....... and if I paid too much, screw it.
Ya can’t take it with ya.
Hahahahaha.
There is an *** for every seat... That is a great looking FRC my friend...

Actually the "poor man's corvette" since that was the intention when first built.
yes I think it was Motor Trend that referred to it being the “poor man’s” Corvette because of the lower price and the limited options available - when I saw it I said to myself that that’s my future car, but it hasn’t happen. I’ve owned 2 C5s (‘03 & my current ‘98) - and came close this past June but bought the ‘98 instead - I love that top!

My 2000 FRC with 21,000 miles. I've owned a few Corvettes since joining the forum I picked this up 3 years ago with 17K miles. Upgraded tire/wheel combo, Corsa Extreme, B&M Sport Shifter, Audio 1 din Kenwood with bluetooth and a JL mono block powered 10" sub in a partition. I was done with Corvettes until I came across this one. It was hard to pass up!! Personally I prefer the Y2K FRC.. There were a couple of option added for 2K that make it little nicer!!! -XmP

I guess you can think of the FRC as a cheaper striped down version, but it came stock with the Z51 suspension, 6 speed, and a stiffer body design for better handling and a slight bump in HP....not on the coupe models. My 2000 actually came with a heads up display, fog lights, BSM, and climate control options with a black interior that I prefer. Doesn't sound like a striped down model.
I traded my C4 that I bought new 35 years ago for my 2000 C5 about 2 years ago. The dealer put in a new clutch and all new seals on the motor and torque tube. It had 114,000 miles on it, so I was a little apprehensive being the first used car since I was a teenager. But it has been great, runs great and everything works. Maybe I got lucky. I paid a little under $15,000. No two deals are alike....I hope everybody gets lucky.
PS....the 2000 FRC Corvettes are the lowest production models other than the 1953 and 1955 Corvettes.
Oh....and it's the unmodified Corvette of the year for 2020....
To be honest I would pay more for a fixed roof coupe than a regular coupe or vert of the same year/miles/condition at this point.
granted, I don’t care about any of the features that are missing from the FRC being a “budget” corvette, and I LOVE that it is standard with z51 and 6 speed manual. I definitely prefer the FRC body style and even though I like the look of the rear brake ducts on the z06, I also love the clean look of the FRC.
I guess my point is that the FRC shouldn’t be considered less desirable than any other c5 of the same year, it’s just a matter of who is doing the buying.
