Neither my wife nor I can tell any real difference. I had a mesh one on my BMW Z4 and it helped a lot. I don't know how one would work on your Corvette.
Any comments on which type of wind deflector? I’ve read plexiglass scratches easily.
Would like to find a used one since I’m not sure they make that much difference?
Thanks for your guidance.
I have the mesh wind blocker. It does work especially with the windows up on the highway. Definitely lowers the wind buffeting. I would say it's worth it as long as it's not too expensive. I only use mine if I'm on a long highway trip.
My 2000 vert had the GM OEM included which is just a black frame and plexi. It's very easy to install and no drilling/mods needed. I believe there's a slight improvement with wind at modest to highway speed but as I'm driving with the top down, not really a major change in my view in ambient noise or air flow.
I have the OEM mesh one and I do notice a difference. Only downside is that you have to remove it before raising the top. I have read that some people leave them in but previous owner of my car had it installed by dealer and if windscreen is in place top will not move. I assume that there is a switch in the mounting bracket that prevents top from moving when windscreen is in place.
