I charged my order on my Amex card and it is showing up on my monthly statement. I think I'm just going to deny the charge since as of today, I've received nothing. They won't get any more business from me.
Might be a long shot, but perhaps contact the PFYC.com rep on this site? You can find their posts in the vendor forum.
After installing a spoiler from RPI on my C6, I was not happy with the fit around the brake light. It became worse over time and the thin carbon fiber strip started to bow out. I approached RPI at their booth at Carlise this year. Talked to two people. They did not want to see the car but told me to call the next week and they would make it right. Left multiple voice mails to several people there and have received no returns. Sent several emails that included pictures with no response back. Well it’s almost December and this started in August. I do not believe they have a “customer service” department??
have to give credit where it is due. Three weeks after my last email was sent to RP;, I was getting ready to send a written letter today, I received an email back apologizing for the delay and they would send a new spoiler at no cost. They said it would take 5-6 weeks but if they follow through I’ll be happy
Corvettemods and ModernGenAuto are the same (same physical address, even).
I also understood RPI and PFYC were associated, but had not heard that Corvettemods was part of this business grouping.
With the exception of 5-8 week wait times, I've had no issue with RPI and generally feel their painted components are good quality. Any non-painted or custom parts are simply drop ship, i.e, Novistretch bras, etc. so shop around on price if those are the items you're interested in. Some examples of RPI painted components on both my C5 vert and my C7 Z06.
I think many vendors have had to extend their production/wait times due to delays in GM sourcing the core products due to the Covid mess.
Well, I went to the mailbox and found an envelope with the dash letters. I'm glad they finally came through with my order! Thanks to all who gave input!
I have had a hit and miss relationship with RPI. My first interaction with them was excellent. I ordered dress up engine parts and they came in 6 weeks like they said, the fit was horrible, but the color was spot on. The next two things I ordered, which were lettering for the dash and engine came quickly, but the wrong color and I could not return them. So I had to order them again and they got it right the second time.
I now use PayPal and either get my part or get my money back. That seems to motivate them to do it right and timely.
They have no customer service and really don’t care. Use them at your own risk, but I would suggest using PayPal to pay for it, PayPal will make it right.
