Default Installed ZR1 Front Splitter

I installed the ZR1 front splitter a month ago. I thought I would share my experience!

1. This C5 is my DD and I have been in and out of parking lots and I can say driving responsibly and always being aware of clearance, I have no issues.

2. My car is not lowered at all. Stock bolts and ride height.

3. “The infamous heating concern”: I was very aware of the issues some people have with temps increasing after installing the lip, I can gladly say, in 90-100 degree Florida weather, my temps have NOT increased.

I DID drill holes in the fog light housing.
I DID clean out my radiator while the car was up (radiator air compressor tool)

I’m guessing you mean yours was scraping a whole lot 😂. Mine being a DD I’m pretty sure I’ll be running into that same issue, but that’s the main reason I went with this splitter for under $100. No way I’m paying $300+ for a splitter just to get wrecked.

Ecklers price matched Extreme Dimesions, along with a 20% sale they were running with free shipping.

Looks great! At that price even if you do damage it, you could afford to replace it.

Ive been running a C5R type ACI splitter (& lowered on coilovers) for years now and so far other than the occasional rock chip no problems, but you have to always be conscious of the splitter and road debris. A squirrel could make for a really bad day!

Still driving it daily and have seen no cooling problems. It runs at 19X while driving, and when I’m stopped at red lights for a while I’ve seen it as high as 21X. See number 3 in the original post for some of the precautions I took before installing the Splitter.

revive an old thread.. Ecklers won t price match the $109 that Extreme is posting.. i contacted Exreme and they will still honour the
109 price.. say out of stock right now but would be able to receive in August earliest. so prob go with another mfg.
if anyone has a line on some cheaper ones, i m interested..
