The caliper covers are not a popular add on at all. Too cheesy looking. Do it right and either paint the calipers yourself or buy a set of powdercoated ones - check forum vendors for an exchange program.
OK OK, i get it. they suck. You've beat me into submission. Anyway, j/k. but i see they are really unpopular. Looks like i'm painting them. Thanks for everyone's input, and i don't feel insulted. I should probably thank everyone for not letting me make a fool of myself.
If you are lazy as you mentioned, I would suggest you invest on a set of powdered coat of the color of you choice and have them mounted at a shop. You will start fresh with clean break fluid in the system after that.
cleaning and painting is indeed a pain, except if you do with a one component spray....
the problem of 2 components spray or paint, if you don't want to use too many cans, you need to have the 4wheels off, all calipers cleaned before you start and for 24h.
my 2cents.

If you want the look of bigger brakes go get bigger brakes and enjoy the stopping power they bring too. C6 Z06 conversions are easy and look great. Painting stock is another great look and you can enjoy a project. The fake covers are so laughable. It's like you you know enough to have a performance car, but want fake poser crap on it? I'd expect caliper covers on a late 90s Hyundai not a Corvette.
Good luck on the color choices with painting them post results.
