What's everyones opinion of, or experience with, these brake caliper covers. my calipers have never been painted. I've watched several youtube videos on painting, and honestly, i'm too lazy to do it. If i get the Cray Mantas, do the calipers even show enough to bother with either method?
Paint your calipers. You can even get fresh decals for them after they are painted. What your thinking about is like putting wheel covers on custom wheels.

I have me on my brakes, took them off because I won't ever clean them as my car is not a show car any way.
They're built well. I like them because its different, not a common thing to see which is what I like.

Yep. Do yourself a favor and spend a day in the garage and paint them right.
or buy yourself powder coated version the color of your choice at tps motorsports or else vendor here.
I painted mine, it is a pain, slightly more than a day of work between scraping cleaning, preparing, painting and waiting. if you do them properly and in place.
my 2 cents
Have you seen them on a car. I would want to see them first. They are not popular on this site. I would not put them on my car. It’s your car, if you like them that’s all that counts.
It's your car, so it's your choice...However, my opinion is do NOT put caliper covers on your car. Get them powder coated. Powder coating is durable, and will look MUCH better. Again, it is your car. However, you should know that most other Corvette owners WILL laugh at you and judge you for having caliper covers on your car. They look cheap and tacky, and they have no place on a Corvette. They also make you look like a poser who is trying to pretend they have a big brake when they obviously don't. Please understand, I'm not trying to be mean or insulting. However, you asked for an opinion, so I'm just being honest.

Exactly.... Now let us know what you have done about this monkey business.
Those who know they're fake find them laughable. And those who don't know they're fake don't care enough to know what they're supposed to emulate.
To add to this almost perfect statement: there's zero chance anybody who cares about cars will believe they are real. No caliper ever made looks like a flat piece of plastic with painted dots on them.
To further question why someone would ever even consider buying these covers, you can damn near buy a set of ACTUAL red calipers for what this company charges you for a few pieces of flat plastic. These things are $270 on their website...
