Default Mag. Wheel Isolators

Anyone know where to buy the corrosion isolators that go in between the magnesium wheels and the rotors?

Thank you in advance, George

Have you tried a place like Cultrag Performance - a forum vendor?

Thank you for the suggestion.

I took a look at their website and they appear to deal only in factory parts as opposed to Corvette reproduction parts.

This is a very hit or miss part that was installed only on some cars. And there is no listing for it in the GM catalogue.

So reaching out. George

I am in the process of replacing 2 bent magnesium wheels on my ‘04 with the factory option N73 wheels. The rubber isolator on my wheels has “Speedline” embossed in the rubber. Maybe a quick duck duck go search?

A few days back I contacted the only Speedline dealer in the US. They did not have an isolator nor could the sell any OEM wheels. Only wheels for the aftermarket. There is also no part number that I can find in the parts catalog.

So unless I pass on the part, I would need to try and make it. Not going to Italy any time soon. Can you send or post a photograph of it please with a bit of a description.

Thank you, George

I feel stupid, but what are these for? They don't look like the isolate contact between the rotor and the center of the wheel.

My best guess, since I’ve only owned my car since Monday, is these help shed water away from the mating surface of the wheel and rotor. Probably since the two different metals will react to each other, water may accelerate this corrosion/seizing process.
