I've been using the same kind of thing (only pink instead of green). You're probably better off with the 1-inch thick sheet instead of the 2-inch, because I found that I can't clear the 2-inch sheet when backing out. It catches on the front air dam.
I've also found that this rigid foam insulation is surprisingly durable, but eventually it will tend to flatten if you drive over it enough times.

Had not thought about foam. I still use carpet remnants.

I use 2" pink foam. After a while, the tire kind of settles into it forming a trough that corresponds to the arc of the tire.

The board that I bought is really easy to work with, too. You score it with a blade and snap it off and it's nice and straight.

Me too, I place (3) 18" squares of old carpet under each tire.....
