Looks really good Jim. Mine is pretty much done also but my console is no where as nice as yours came out.
Forum members- Mr Wick is an amazing guy. Gave me suggestions and advice many, many times over FaceTime to get me through replacing the HVAC actuators. He was smart and patient. I couldn’t figure it out until I finally realized you have to cycle through the settings to get the actuators lined up to the screw holes.
He is exactly what forum members should be—helpful, encouraging and positive.
Merry Xmas and great health to you and the Mrs, Mr Wick!
A buddy of mine ran it into the middle compartment. A lot of younger guys wouldn’t like the lesser amount of bass but it’s plenty for my needs. Fits well in that middle cubby with plenty of room left over.
Like EVERYTHING you did-VERY nice! Do you have a separate amp for the sub? Again, it really looks nice, and probably sounds even better. Love your comment about bass. These "younger guys" have no ear for music. At concerts, bass notes don't dominate the rest of the instruments like it does in their "deaf chambers". The bass I hear from some of these ricers from the outside, my goodness, they're not only shaking their cars apart, they'll have hearing problems by 40 years old, and be deaf by 50!
Hi Grinder-
No amp needed. The Cerwin Vega sub has an amp with it. For $200, it was a deal if you don’t want molar-shaking bass. it was just enough bass to complete the sound. Here’s a pic.
