Ti tip change

Kinney's Muffler, one of the top custom exhaust shops in DFW, modified my GHL system and added new tips. They stock a huge selection of custom tips.
I tried to post a link but I'm typing this on my phone and can't figure out how.
Go on YouTube and search KnightDrive TV, he has a bunch of C5 content.
He's on this forum as well, his name is K.I.T.T on the forum.
Also, as stated above a good exhaust shop should be able to weld new tips on the Ti exhaust.

I'll reference this, although I'm certain you have already responded to it some years ago. Still relevant

Check with a good muffler shop would be my suggestion. But I happen to like the look of the Ti exhaust tips.

My ONLY misgiving with the Corsa’s is the weight compared to the Ti’s. I don’t like something too ‘edgy’ like the megaphones Bassani once had, but just tips that exhibit a little more style and use of polished stainless inside and out. Since I have a coupe and do little track activity, the weight really is not that important. When I had my Z, I’d never entertain removing the exhaust or the excellent Speedline wheels.

To the OP, I had the BB quad bullets for years and wanted to go back Ti's. I wanted more volume though and I too, didn't like the tucked in tips. The BB quads stuck out more and had 4" and I liked those. So, that was my approach...to mod the Ti for more volume (but no drone) and to enhance the tips. I ended up getting some akropovic carbon (knockoff) slip fits. The issue with the tips on the Ti's, is they are slipped on, then welded kinda sloppy. So, when I cut off the factory Ti tips, it had a double wall...the remaining slip part of the tip, then the ti tube coming from the muffler. So, slip fitting was gonna be tough, plus, the alignment issue. So, what I ended up doing was having to extend the titanium tubes from the muffer, grinding back the double wall, and giving myself something to slip fit onto. It was....a bit of a job but not really if you can weld Ti (as I can). If you can find a savvy TIG guy in your area, it's not hard to mod.
PS...this is an older vid of mine (skip to 2min mark to get past the bs...I'm much quicker to the point these days...lol) and my current format is different but...that being said "Super Ti mod 2" is coming soon! Ya'll gonna see!!! No one has done what I'm gon do!
Check out my vid
Plus I'm working on some headlights in an upcoming vid...may wanna see that...lol (cheap promo...haha)

I started looking into this, but other things came up, still on my project list. I was hoping someone would do the same project, and find the right size/brand that will fit well.

Can anyone measure their factory Ti tip, in terms of how far it needs to come out to be flush with the rear bumper. Need measurement from the front of the tip and from the back of the tip surface. I have old Ti tips here, just not on the car.
