Nitrous would probably do it, but without going inside the motor to go with forged pistons, you're on the ragged edge running nitrous w/cast pistons. It'll be OK, IF everything else is perfect, especially the tune. If running pump gas, you'll have to run the very best, and probably octane booster for good insurance. I would personally go with Helgas suggestion, cut my losses, and go with a blower. I know its a lot of money, but you'll have pretty much stock reliability, which, to me, is worth a lot, too. In my opinion, the blower will be more forgiving than Nitrous if something goes wrong. A buddy of mine has a C5 Z06 with a Procharger, and for 4 or 5 years he left everything stock internally. He's got a cam in it now, and says he's over 600whp now. Don't know what cam specs are, as he wants to run my LS7 equipped 2000 Vert. So cam specs are as closely guarded as his wife's figure!!! Good luck to you....
umm...around 440 to the tire is prob 500 plus or minus at the crank you realize right 😂

Yes, I do. That's why I said 500 crank hp from a 346 isn't easy, and 500whp won't happen w/o some sort of power adder. Any time you shift power 90°, you're going to have a power loss. That is one reason front wheel drive cars have a more efficient drivetrain. There is less "lost motion" when the wheels spin in the same plane as the crankshaft.

A Supercharger kit from A&A will have EVERYTHING that you need in it(for the engine). When combined with the rest of the mods that you already have, you'll easily be over 500WHP. The one issue you may run into is that the stock clutch will have issues with that kind of power. I have been VERY happy with my blower. I would advise that you start saving and get the kit from A&A. It makes a night and day difference in the car. The right tune is very important though.

guy- he’s already making 431whp that’s good for 500+ @ crank in a 6 speed car, seriously?

OP- if you don’t wanna go w/ a more aggressive cam then yeah- nice set of heads matched to whatever cam you’re running + porting the TB & intake (or going to a bigger 92mm or whatever) is going to get you another 35-50whp, if you went bolt-on N/A crazy could also consider yella tella rockers & nobody has mentioned punching out the block to a 383

but it’s all $$$$ & a SC is easier to do & will give all the power you want- problem is after that, the clutch will go or you’ll need to replace @ same time, then the diff, axle seals, rear main seal, front main seal, TQ tube bushings/bearings, & tranny are all going to be weak links

Ask yourself if you’re really committed to the car- if you wanna go N/A a C6Z w/ heads/valve train already addressed would be a good “upgrade”

alternatively- matching a heads/cam setup to a nice set of 3.73s or 3.90s or 4.10s would be a big difference too

my 03 Z06 is cammed/ported intake&TB/blueprinted balance original short block w/ forged crank & custom cut pistons/rods running dual meth injection w/ A&A blower on a 3.4 pulley making low 700s

Thanks guys but regardless was gonna change my 241 heads to 243 heads as i read they flow much better just trying to keep up as a couple of buddy's got c6 z06 . Do you guys no what they should be ported at and do they need to be milled , so bad with this stuff as I still don't understand the cylinder heads stuff with compression . I can find heads here in Canada of a truck 243 for about 300 to 400 $ or found a few online about 2 hours away for 500 $ milled to 0.30 ? Don't even no what that is 🤣 . Let me know guys thanks again

I failed to notice you still have stock '98 heads. Yes, the 243 heads are a really good value for the inexpensive cost. Do some research on the 243 heads, people have been swapping those on for a long time...you could have some inexpensive work/upgrades done to them before they are installed

super charger.
Here's a before and after curve... before curve had headers, cold air intake, manifold, z06 cat back, and a tune.
After curve is all that with a super and a cam.
