Okay, maybe a stupid question, I looked through the forum but couldn't find my answer. Do I need to do the steering wheel lock if the car had the recall done?
Located the dealer who serviced the car previous to me getting it and got all service records from them.

I just bought my first C5 yesterday myself. Heheheh
Under 8k miles? Holy CRAP. You mentioned you did tires and fluids already, I'd be worried about all the hoses and belts too (anything rubber really)

I’ve been on this forum since 2011, and have followed/experienced/repaired the column lock situation on 2 C5’s. I have never seen a satisfactory instance of the factory recall lasting for a long time. Almost everyone who’s used the LMC5 from complianceparts.com has been more than satisfied. RICHARD at Compliance can get you thru any problems you may encounter be it installation or trouble shooting. It’s $40 worth of peace of mind.

If it has less than 8000 miles, I would replace every hose and belt. When you mention fluids, did that include the trans, differential and brake/clutch systems? Tire condition and brake pads?
Maybe a can of Techron Fuel system cleaner as well.

Yeah definitely.
I had a PPI done before I bought mine but it has 77k and was driven enough. Only the brake fluid needs to be done, everything else the owner recently did. I have to replace the tires because they're from 2013 and have some scary looking vertical cracks but otherwise she's a clean one.
