Battery

AGM is the way to go. I personally use Optima Redtop. There are many who agree with me on that, and many who don't. Ultimately, as long as you go with a quality AGM battery, you'll be fine.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I have 4 cars with this same battery size. Battery tender kept on all of these except the corvette (until last year when i started working from home, it has a battery tender too).
02 Camaro SS, rarely driven. Everstart Maxx from 2008 is still excellent.
99 Suburban, driven mostly in winter, but also for vacations, errands, etc. -- has an AutoGraft Gold from 2012. It's been on it's way out for at least 3 years, but still cranking (slower every year though. Jumper cables in the back!)
93 K2500, rarely driven, autocraft gold battery is from 2014, still fine
02 Corvette. Had Autocraft Gold that lasted <3 years, replaced under warranty shortly after i got the car. Replacement battery died last weakened after JUST over 3 years (Acid level definitely low, but no leaked fluid anywhere). It died FAST. When from "fine" to dead in a matter of a week or 2. Replaced with walmart.
I've learned over the years that he battery tender (not a trickle charger) definitely lengthens the life if you don't drive the vehicle much. and at $25-$45, its far cheaper than a new battery. it pays for itself.
In the end, the battery life will vary with model, weather, car, battery tender, usage, and luck. Get what works for you and enjoy the ride.
