Hey so i have a 2002 Corvette with 275/40/17 in the front and 295/35/18 in the rear, there is a rather large gap between the tire and the inner fender on the rear and some on the front. I've read around and most people say you shouldn't go with a 40 sidewall in the rear on stock wheels. Wondering if there is any other way around it without going with coil overs or aftermarket springs. Anything Helps!

If those are the 10.5" wide C5 Z06 rear wheels, you can run (usually!!) a 305/35/18 or, like I do on my car, 315/30/18s. Don't know what your goals/budget is, but I also have Goodyear Supercar 285/40/18s on my car now here in Florida. The 315s are on a set of extra wheels, and are Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s. The 315s clear by about 7/16"-1/2" per side from tire sidewall to the inner fender. Hope this helps some. OH-On my car, with Active Handling, I've had no problem with any codes due to differences in tire height from front to rear......

No reason you can't fit a 295/40/18 rear tire, if desired. That size is around 1" taller, than a 295/35/18.
